Curriculum Materials Center: CMC

Located on the lower level of the Centennial Library

The Curriculum Materials Center (CMC) houses a representative collection of materials commonly used in public and private schools.

The collection includes children's and young adult literature, content-area textbooks from a variety of publishers and other curricular materials, courses of study, instructional aids, educational media, and other materials suitable for PreK-12 classrooms.

Christian education and ministry-related resources are also available in a variety of formats. Although primarily used by education majors, others will find helpful materials here as well.

The CMC is located on the lower level of the Centennial Library.

Circulation of Materials

Current Cedarville University faculty, staff, and students may use all library services and resources.  They must present a valid university ID card or number in person to borrow items. Faculty may send their Cedarville University ID with a TA or admin assistant to borrow items and any items borrowed in this manner will be the responsibility of the faculty member. Retired university faculty and staff may continue borrowing library materials after retirement with staff borrowing limits.

  • All materials have an initial checkout of 3 weeks and can be renewed up to 3 times unless restrictions have been placed on those materials or other patrons have requested them.
  • Standardized tests may only be checked out by faculty members.

College Family includes spouses and family members living in the home of a current faculty or staff member who have a valid Cedarville University Family ID pass (obtained from the Campus Safety Office). Patron accounts are added to the system upon request. All College Family patrons must present their valid Cedarville University Family ID to borrow items.

  • College Family patrons may check out items for 1 week.

Patrons without borrowing privileges are still welcome in the CMC and can use materials on-site.

For more information, refer to the Library Circulation Policy.

Reserved Materials
