Research Tips

Tip #1

  • Google can be a great resource for government documents and reports. When searching Google, limit your results to only government websites by adding "site:.gov" to your search string. For example, type domestic terrorism site:.gov into the search bar.

Tip #2

  • When researching criminal justice topics, keep your research to the most recent results by limiting the publication date range. Using research within the past 5-10 years is a good rule of thumb.
