The MediaPLEX provides 3D printing services to students, faculty, and staff of Cedarville University.

You can fill out the 3D Printing Request Form and we will follow up with you.

 

What file types can be printed?

Please submit files in .stl, .3mf, .step or .obj format. You can browse and download a variety of files at Thingiverse or printables or make your own. Files that do not adhere to Cedarville University standards will not be printed.

What size can I print?

We print job files as is - if you would like to specify desired dimensions in mm, indicate in the form (H x W x L).

(Maximum size is 305mm H x 305mm W x 300 mm L)

When will my print job be ready for pickup?

The length of time varies but usually done within a week.  A MediaPLEX staff member will contact you regarding your print job.  

How much does it cost?

Your print job costs $0.10 per gram of weight as estimated in our slicer software. 

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash, check, or credit card only. We are not able to bill your student account or use your print quota.

What colors are available for printing?

You can print in one solid color or multiple colors on a single object. We can print up to four colors per object (consultation required). 

We use PLA filament. Our current filament colors are as follows, back to front, left to right:

  • true black

  • chocolate brown

  • cool gray

  • true white

  • light blue

  • true blue

  • green

  • purple

  • sakura pink

  • true red

  • true orange

  • true yellow

What model 3D printers do you have?

We have a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon and a Raise 3D Pro2
