The MediaPLEX provides 3D printing services to students, faculty, and staff of Cedarville University.

What file types can be printed?

Please submit files in .stl or .obj format. You can browse and download a variety of .stl and .obj files at Thingiverse. Files that do not adhere to Cedarville University standards will not be printed.

What size can I print?

We print job files as is - if you would like to specify desired dimensions in mm, please indicate below (H x W x L)

(Maximum size is 115mm H x 195mm W x 235 mm L)

When will my print job be ready for pickup?

You should submit print jobs that take 12 hours or less to print. We print 3D jobs Monday through Friday. 

How much does it cost?

Your print job costs $.10 per gram of weight. Ask us about current promotions!

What payment methods are accepted?

Cash, check, or credit card only. We are not able to bill your student account.

What colors are available for printing?

You can print in one solid color. For multi-colored jobs, you may want to print in white and paint it yourself.

We use PLA filament. Our current filament colors are as follows:

Left column, top to bottom:

  • true yellow
  • true orange
  • translucent green
  • cool gray
  • true red
  • true white

Right column, top to bottom:

  • warm gray
  • true black
  • true blue
  • true purple
  • true green

Not pictured but available: true brown

We have a MakerBot Replicator.
