Buckeye Children's Book Award
The Buckeye Children's Book Award was begun in 1981. Students across Ohio nominate books for the award, and then vote on the nominated books the following year. The program is designed to encourage children in Ohio to read literature critically, to promote teacher and librarian involvement in children's literature programs, and to commend authors of such literature. Charlotte Zolotow Award
The Charlotte Zolotow Award, administered by the Cooperative Children's Book Center, is given annually to the author of the best picture book text published in the United States in the preceding year. Established in 1998, the award is named to honor the work of Charlotte Zolotow, a distinguished children's book editor for 38 years with Harper Junior Books, and author of more than 70 picture books. | Website | Honor books

The E. B. White Read Aloud Award, established by the Association of Booksellers for Children in 2004, honors a book that reflects the universal read aloud standards that were created by the work of the author E.
