First Year Instruction (FYI) was established as a way to help first year students gain research skills on a foundational level. Our target audience became all students in composition and speech courses, since they are both attended primarily by freshmen.
FYI is composed of 2 modules. Module 1 shared with speech courses, and Module 2 shared with composition courses. These modules divide the research process in half, although short introductions to the other steps are involved.
