Once you find a book in CU Discover / CU Library and you would like to go retrieve it from the shelf, the item record will indicate the availability, location, and call number.
- The availability will either display as Available at Centennial Library if we have a copy ready for use, OR No available copies at Centennial Library if the book is checked out..
- The location will appear as either UPPER LEVEL MAIN COLLECTION (the library's first floor), LOWER LEVEL MAIN COLLECTION (the library's second floor) or REFERENCE (located on the first floor). Other locations like archives, Wiersbe Reading Room, or Reserve - Service Desk may appear, which are not available for your use.
- The call number will appear in parentheses. This is the Dewey Decimal number uniquely assigned to that book. The library has call number ranges on the ends of the shelves as well as hanging signs to help direct you to your item.
Note: You are not able to check books out of our library, but you are more than welcome to take pictures with your phone of relevant sections of a book.
