Circulation of Materials
All materials may be borrowed by the presentation of a borrower's ID card at the Circulation Desk of the Library. Please return all materials to the Circulation Desk as well. An ID card is issued to all faculty, staff, and students. Patrons with borrowing privileges, but not in one of the above categories, will not be permitted to check out materials. This policy does not affect examination of materials in the CMC by any patron. Everyone is welcome to use the collection.
Circulation Periods
Three weeks: Text books, trade books, activity books, teaching aids, courses of study, state content standards, Christian education materials, audiobooks
Seven days: Audio-visual materials, computer software
Restricted to course use: Standardized tests
Non-circulating (except to faculty): Reference, Periodicals, Standardized Tests
Renewals
CMC materials may be renewed unless restrictions have been placed on those materials or other patrons have requested them. Renewal privileges shall not allow borrower to violate the maximum specified for some materials.
Restricted Materials
Some CMC materials, because of their content, are restricted to use in the Library. These include reference books, children's periodicals, and the Historical Collection.
Reserved Materials
In order to make certain that some materials are available to all members of a class, instructors sometimes place materials on reserve. Students must receive these materials from Circulation desk personnel.
Children in the CMC
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times in the CMC.
