Collecting Literary Criticism from Databases

Literary Reference Source / Literary Reference Center Plus

Search the title of your work, then Limit to "Literary Criticism" as a Source Type.

MLA International Bibliography / JSTOR / Google Scholar

These databases don't provide the option to limit Source Type specifically to Literary Criticism.  Instead, search the title of your work with phrases like "criticism", "literary criticism", "analysis", "literary analysis", etc.

Collecting Literary Criticism from Books

Search CU Library or OhioLINK for the title of your work, then add the keyword criticism or critical.

To find literary criticism more precisely, try searching your author's name as a subject using the Search by Field option in CU Discover.

Remember to navigate to the More option in the Links Menu:

 

Choose Search by Field

 

Search your author's name by Last name, First name

 

Look for subject headings that mention criticism and interpretation
