Commentary: A commentary is a publication about a specific section of the Bible in which the author provides comments such as translation notes, exegetical observations/interpretation, or textual applications. Commentary series have a consistent focus and target audience, but are typically written by a variety of authors.
Examples (Series): Word Biblical Commentary Series, International Critical Commentary
